Strategic Communications · Florida

Your nonprofit deserves real communications. Not another to-do list item.

Most organizations don't have a communications problem. They have a capacity problem. Bridge & Brief gives you a senior communications partner embedded in your team — handling messaging, media, donor communications, and storytelling — for a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.

Senior communications, embedded in your team.

Bridge & Brief operates like a fractional CMO — not a freelancer, not an agency. One senior communicator. One monthly cadence. Tangible deliverables in your inbox, every month, without fail.

The work spans what your organization actually needs to grow: media relations, donor communications, social strategy, event messaging, and the messy in-between work of explaining a mission to people who haven't lived it.

"Communications shouldn't be the thing you do after everything else is done. It's how everything else gets funded, staffed, and supported." — The Bridge & Brief Principle

Three ways to work together. All with real deliverables.

Every engagement begins with a one-week discovery sprint: audit your current communications, align on voice and audiences, and define what success looks like in 90 days.

Marie Cozzetti, Founder of Bridge & Brief

The story behind Bridge & Brief

Marie Cozzetti has spent her career translating complex organizations to the people they serve — in the U.S. Senate, at Catholic Social Services, with tribal health systems, and across housing, hospitality, and real estate.

The pattern she kept seeing: the smartest mission-driven organizations were the worst at telling their own story. Not for lack of talent. For lack of time, budget, and a senior thinking partner who could pick up the work and run with it.

Bridge & Brief was built for exactly that gap — to give small and mid-sized nonprofits the kind of communications leadership that usually only Fortune 500s and major foundations can afford.

The questions every executive director asks first.

Why a boutique consultancy instead of hiring in-house?

A full-time communications director in Florida runs $75K–$110K plus benefits — typically $95K–$140K all-in. Bridge & Brief gives you senior-level work at a fraction of that cost, with no hiring risk, no onboarding lag, and no PTO gaps. For most organizations under $3M in budget, an embedded communications partner is the right answer for at least the first three years.

How is this different from hiring a freelancer or agency?

Freelancers execute tasks. Agencies bill hours. Bridge & Brief operates as your embedded communications lead — one senior person who knows your mission, sits in on your strategy conversations, and owns the outcome. You get one point of contact, one set of deliverables, one monthly rhythm.

What does the first 30 days actually look like?

Week one: discovery sprint — audit existing communications, interview your ED and key staff, review past materials. Week two: positioning and voice alignment. Weeks three and four: first deliverables go live (newsletter, social content, any urgent media work). By day 30, you have a 90-day plan and the first month's work shipped.

Do you work with faith-based or politically sensitive organizations?

Yes. Marie's background includes Catholic Social Services, the U.S. Senate, tribal health systems, and housing advocacy. Sensitive messaging in complex environments is a core part of the practice.

What if our team is just two people and a board?

That's exactly who The Brief tier was built for. Small staff. Big mission. No bandwidth. Most clients at this size find Bridge & Brief pays for itself within two grant cycles or one well-told campaign.

Are you taking new clients right now?

Yes — with a cap. Bridge & Brief intentionally takes on a limited number of retainer clients to keep the work senior and personal. Current openings are listed during your discovery call.

If your mission deserves a bigger audience, let's build one.

Book a 30-minute discovery call. No pitch deck. No pressure. Just a conversation about what your organization is trying to say — and who needs to hear it.
